On 14th of June, 2020 the student union leaders of TOPS with consolidation of NANS OYO JCC AXIS Ag. Chairman Comrade Fadare Blessing and other student's leaders across the state paid a condolence visit to the bereaved family of late Ms Grace Oshiagwu, who was a victim of rape till death in her residence on 13th of June, 2020.
It was in deep sober reflection that the union met the bereaved family, eyes couldn't hold tears as the aged parents narrate the ordeal that surround their daughter demise.
In their explanation the cruel act was done around 3pm of the said day in the mission room around the corner of their family church which located beside their residence. The victim was said to have been raped and stabbed severally before she gave up a ghost.
TOPS student's union leaders in her words have decried the incident unfortunate and injustice and pray to God to give the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the loss.
On the same note the union leaders have drew a dogged decision towards agitating for justice on behalf of late Ms Grace Oshiagwu and her family.
Also the union leaders pledge to assist the family in their own little way while charging the government and securities agencies to wake up to their duties in tightening the loosen security in the state and country at large.
While TOPSSUG have reinstate her vision to all the students of the institution, her readiness to contain and curtail the incessant issue of rape case on and off the campus environment.
On a similar voice the union restate her readiness to wear the true toga of comradeship in militating for justice as we urge all TOPSSITES to stay tune as we'll equally brought to their notice our decisions and strategies in short interval of time.
