Morning Tea For Achiever

In 1931, Gandhi was invited to speak to the British Parliament. As Gandhi was one of the most vocal supporters of Indian independence, his visit was greeted with suspicion and caution by a parliament who strongly opposed Gandhis passion. The great leader stood with no notes and spoke for two hours. He spoke eloquently and with passion, and when he finished, his audience stood and applauded as one. It was an extraordinary moment for a truly remarkable man.

Later, an English journalist asked one of Gandhis assistants how he was able to stand with no notes and speak to brilliantly for such a long time. The assistant smiled and is quoted as saying, You dont understand Gandhi. You see, what he thinks is what he feels. What he feels is what he says. What he says is what he does. What Gandhi feels, what he thinks, what he says, and what he does are all the same. He does not need notes.

If you want to be an effective leader, what you feel, what you think, what you say and what you do need to be aligned.

The same is true if you want to be a great parent, an effective communicator or have aspirations to do anything truly remarkable with your life. When Bill Gates prophesied that the day would come when every desk would have a PC on it, people didnt believe it. But his words were aligned with his belief, his feelings and he took massive action to make it happen.

What about you? What are your goals? What is your passion for the work? How do you feel about it? What do you believe is possible? What do say about it? What are you doing about it? What do you feel, think and say about the team you belong? How do you read your assignments? How do you apply your skills and collaborate?

If you can get this right, youre well on your way, and you wont need notes or some push to remind you of your duties. I hope you do a mind search, WILL YOU?

Thanks you ................Have a great day
