The Ogun State Government on Wednesday sacked Mr. Oluwole Olubena, one of the commissioners in the State Civil Service Commission for alleged gross misconduct.
The Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, who signed the statement announcing Olubena’s dismissal on Wednesday, said the action was in accordance with the extant laws of the state.
Adeoluwa, however, did not state the particular offence the sacked commissioner, who was said to be commissioner IV, had committed.
He said, “The governor has the power to hire and fire. He (Olubena) was removed on the account of misconduct,” stressing that the action the of the state government was in order
Olubena had been directed to hand over all government properties and documents in his possession to the Permanent Secretary at the commission immediately.
