Just before he was sold, I can imagine what was going through
Joseph’s mind as his blood brothers were negotiating with the slave
merchants. (I speak of Joseph of the Bible).
“How are my dreams of greatness going to come true? It was beautiful sight. I saw the sun, the moon and eleven stars bowing down to me. Little me! Again, I was in the farm with my family. All their sheaves bowed to mine. How will these dreams come to pass? Now that my brothers are about to sell me, how are my dreams going to come true? This is nothing but a nightmare. I just can’t believe this is happening to me”
Some times in our lives, we just can’t understand why things are not working. The most disconcerting part is when you face betrayal, failure or disappointment.
As lofty and beautiful as your dreams are, don’t be surprised if you do not get sponsors immediately. Do not become discouraged when those you thought would support you only show a modicum of enthusiasm.
Dreamers are fighters. Be ready to fight for your dreams. Once one is defeated in the mind, one becomes too weak to fight against forces that want to hinder the manifestation of one’s good dreams. Harsh circumstances, unfavourable situations may arise. Just be determined not to give up.
If your dreams are going to come true, you must never stop believing in God and in yourself.
Eventually Joseph’s dreams came to pass, though he passed through “fire”. Joseph did not stumble into royalty. He held onto his dreams. He held onto his God even when he had every reason to grab the “juicy proposition” by Portiphar’s wife.
There are many people with great talents out there with nobody to support them. I want to encourage you not to give in to despair.
Please don’t let those dreams of yours die just because of you have no helpers. Helpers will come if you don’t give up on your dreams. Keep praying. Keep working hard. One day, the universe will celebrate your uniqueness.
Stay alive and nurture your dreams as much as you can.
I believe in your greatness!
